EntreCom4ALL at FIE 2019, Cincinnati, USA
The Annual Frontiers in Education (FIE) Conference https://fie2019.org is one of the world’s premier international conference focusing on educational innovations and research in engineering, entrepreneurship and computing education. Submissions of the 49th FIE, held in Cincinnati, USA, were related to educational issues and innovations in computing and engineering at the graduate, undergraduate and pre-college levels. The theme for 2019 was Bridging Education to the Future. FIE 2019 continues a long tradition of disseminating results in engineering, entrepreneurship and computing education. It is an ideal forum for sharing ideas, learning about developments and interacting with colleagues in these fields.
Edmundo Tovar, from the UPM and coordinator of the EntreCom4ALL project, presented the paper “Open Repositories as entrepreneurship skills sharpener for young engineers and trainers”, with the results of harvesting 678 OERs and cataloguing them into specific entrepreneurship skills but also targeting three particular groups of students: young, female and teachers. This research aims at providing these students an adapted platform of OERs, the EntreComALL platform, towards sharpening entrepreneurship skills.
The paper, published in the Proceedings of the Conference, will soon be available at IEEE Xplore, https://ieeexplore.ieee.org/Xplore/home.jsp
