Edmundo Tovar, from the UPM and coordinator of the EntreCom4ALL project, was invited as keynote speaker in the 11th International Symposium on Project Approaches in Engineering Education (PAEE), and 16th Active Learning in Engineering Education Workshop (ALE) with theme «Preparing Teachers and Students for Challenging Times in Engineering Education» https://paeeale.esprit.tn. The title of his presentation delivered was “Extended use of Curricula guidelines to improve the learning process in Open Education. Some initiatives endorsed by IEEE Education Society”. He highlighted the use  of Open Educational repositories for the educational community that can serve as organizational focal points for creating communities of practice among teachers and students. These resources are organized or classified in a number of subject areas or categories that allow for selecting the most appropriate resources as quickly and easily as possible. Ontologies are being employed to improve interoperability, reuse and access to heterogeneous collections of educational content. The semantic representation of curricula can be used in multiple modes of learning. This talk will show the case of the EntreCom4ALL project  in learning and teaching in entrepreneurship.

The PAEE symposium is organised by the PAEE association and the Department of Production and Systems of the University of Minho, Portugal, since 2009. The symposium intends to join teachers, researchers and professionals specialising in Engineering Education. The ALE workshop is organised by ALE, an international network of engineering educators, initiated in 2000, and dedicated to improving engineering education through active learning. This edition was organized by ESPRIT, Tunis, Tunisia.
